winglets have a purpose. One is reduce vortices, therefore reducing drag, there fore decrease fuel burn.

Wait, I heard him say "V1". How on earth does a twin commander have a V1 speed? It could have easily stopped with the runway it had remaining. Or does the brakes easily overheat or something? Very confused..

Bummer that this beautiful airfield has now been sold and our dream of flying there ourselves can't be realised. I don't know why the new owners wouldn't just charge a landing fee and let recreational pilots land there. It's a real shame that we just missed out on flying here.

The Skylane is a great personal travel aircraft. I have flown the RG too, also the turbocharged version. If the speed gain justifies the added maintenance cost, that's a personal desicion. That ipad on the yoke i'm so jealous. I Learned to fly at north perry just a little north of you. And as the ipad wasnt invented yet, we had to use PAPER MAPS. Yes, unfolding a gigantic paper map, in a 152.

In mid 1970's my Father flew a Commander for his employers company. I had many flights and a few hours in the left seat. Sadly our last flight was to deliver to the next owner. We flew from south east Pennsylvania to Denver, CO. Memorable. Great airplane. Saw Bob Hoover at Reading airport in the 70's

Those aircraft are f*cking awesome. I flew in one back in "92" and again in "97". You're a lucky guy. They are expensive. I hope you can hang on to it.

No shoulder harness for pilots? I wouldn’t fly in an aircraft without. Too many dead people due to head smack in panel. Unnecessary risk. Nice plane though! Always happy landings!

You need to announce your checklist as you are checking the controls in the proper sequence and keep your eyes open for air traffic instead of concerntrating on you co pilot frined. You need additonal dual time for check list announcination skills and air traffic.
