Built-In Stall Protection! STINSON Voyager
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
Eddie Stinson was a great innovator in his time and this was a solution implemented on the Voyager to prevent stalls. With the flaps in the up position, the elevator up travel is limited. Once the pilot extends the flaps, the travel restriction on the elevator is removed and larger control inputs are possible! ua-cam.com/users/freedomfixerflyingua-cam.com/users/freedomfixerflying MY GEAR: Bose ...

Impromptu flight after getting back to Miami. I filed IFR to Boca to keep my skills fresh and even encountered a real world partial panel scenario after my heading failed, likely a faulty magnetometer. Enjoy the views! ILS to Minimums! Cirrus SR22
Переглядів 1,3 тис.3 роки тому
My first time in actual conditions turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences Ive ever had flying. Our first ILS took us down to the very last foot of minimums just barely spotting the lead in lights at the last second. A great learning experience for both of us and especially for me as a newly minted instrument pilot! #Cirrus #Minimums #Flying MY GEAR: (2) GoPro Hero 8 amzn.to/2Zs9Wq...
Winter Flying - Bringing Two Piper Warriors Back To Life

Last year I became maintenance officer for a student run flying club at Purdue University called Purdue Pilots, Inc. Due to school restrictions imposed in March of 2020, our airplanes have been grounded and it took us nearly a year to get an exemption to have our aircraft flying again! On this flight the PPI president, Srinath, and I take our two piper warriors for test flights to make sure the...

You and Your Dad make good film flying Your Cessna 172 to St, Petersburg .Florida More films .Please about Your Journey-Flying Oddysey, I wish YOU -Good-Luck.
Hey what's the useful load on that?
Saw this beautiful commander at Purdue, Josh, can you comment on head and leg room compared with other aircraft you have flown? Thanks.
The other aircraft I've flown are cirrus's and cessnas and I've noticed that the commander has substantially more room. I have a friend who is 6'5" and has to move the seat forward to reach the pedals and still has head room too. In the rear there is even more room for your legs.
@@beechcraftflyer1460 Thank you, for this valuable information! I am 6 foot four and I believe that a cramped cockpit compromises safety.
winglets have a purpose. One is reduce vortices, therefore reducing drag, there fore decrease fuel burn.
They do :). What Josh meant to say here was that the performance increase is so minimal that it doesn’t justify the STC cost to have the winglets and its more aesthetics than anything else.
Super avion, combien ça coute par an et par heure ?
The BOB HOVER aircraft airplane show unforgettable beautyful
time to toss out the 2 back seat riders lol they look like they arent all there lol i love mine just redid the panel . cost almost as much as the plane cost
Wait, I heard him say "V1". How on earth does a twin commander have a V1 speed? It could have easily stopped with the runway it had remaining. Or does the brakes easily overheat or something? Very confused..
More of just having fun, no brake restrictions or anything, she'll stop on a dime
Bummer that this beautiful airfield has now been sold and our dream of flying there ourselves can't be realised. I don't know why the new owners wouldn't just charge a landing fee and let recreational pilots land there. It's a real shame that we just missed out on flying here.
"There's Josh Flowers!" I guess we can put Elvis sightings to bed now. 😂
Freakin Awesome!
She is a beautiful bird. Yeah I love those aero commanders. Nice butter on the landing.
Commander 1000 turbo is one of the prettiest planes i ever flew in. Thanks to Mr Holmes a court.
The Skylane is a great personal travel aircraft. I have flown the RG too, also the turbocharged version. If the speed gain justifies the added maintenance cost, that's a personal desicion. Here a video of a C182 in my channel. It is a new version one, non turbocharged. ua-cam.com/video/RgpprKQ46EM/v-deo.htmlsi=p2uOtRpwH-BViUlq If you have not done already, please subscribe to my aviation channel and turn on notifications, so you will not miss any new videos. This is at my local flight school :D
Fantastic ! Beautiful !
Please, turn the damn music volume down!
That ipad on the yoke i'm so jealous. I Learned to fly at north perry just a little north of you. And as the ipad wasnt invented yet, we had to use PAPER MAPS. Yes, unfolding a gigantic paper map, in a 152.
It doesn't take off...it blows the Earth away from itself.
In mid 1970's my Father flew a Commander for his employers company. I had many flights and a few hours in the left seat. Sadly our last flight was to deliver to the next owner. We flew from south east Pennsylvania to Denver, CO. Memorable. Great airplane. Saw Bob Hoover at Reading airport in the 70's
Those aircraft are f*cking awesome. I flew in one back in "92" and again in "97". You're a lucky guy. They are expensive. I hope you can hang on to it.
No shoulder harness for pilots? I wouldn’t fly in an aircraft without. Too many dead people due to head smack in panel. Unnecessary risk. Nice plane though! Always happy landings!
So, another video of BS talking and no flying. BYE
daddy's money
Or just play your cards right
In my younger day, I had a 560E, and then a 680S. I miss flying so much. The Aero Commander is a beautiful flying machine.
Hi Josh in your recent video you mentioned you were taking the Commander in for it's annual inspection. How did that go?
It went well, being an A&P I did a lot of the work along with two IAs with experience in commanders. I've done two annuals on it now in my 2.5 years of ownership and it's so over engineered that beside for basic maintenance nothing really bad came up and being so large they are nice to work on in terms of having room
Dude be honest! It's very underpowered!
Good landing
🧈 butter
Rich kids... or parents with wealth. Awesome. One day i hope i can get my pilot license....
Is this airplane for sale?
It is not!
Isn’t that funny how most training planes are 4 cylinder engines
Is there a shoulder harness stc for that?
💞Good 💞
Is it tall friendly? because I’m 6 3’ inches tall 😂
I think you should have plenty of room!
@@HugAviation amazing thanks a lot :)
WINGLETS DO HELP WITH SOMETHING AREODYNAMIC... go research that!!
Did you just call "v1" in a piston multi LMFAO
So you're telling me a twin piston plane at full speed can stop at any part of the runway? If not which it's pretty obvious It can't I see no issues with that bud.
@@Gamerboy-gy1rl Your goofy asf. no one calls v1 in a piston not to mention it literally doesn't exist. show me where in the poh it says the v1 speed. If you lost an engine where you said v1 and continued you would VMC roll and kill yourself. Look at the duke VMC at KFUL a couple years back. As dumb as it makes you look its also dangerous AF. Anything below blue line you should cut the other engine back and land straight ahead. You have no idea what your talking about and clearly lack experience.
@Gamerboy-gy1rl its more of a problem that a piston twin can't continue if they lose an engine on the roll. The only thing to do is close the throttles, apply max breaking, and stop
@shaneboulds5240 it's not that it couldn't climb out if lost an engine it's a commitment to fly it out once you cross a certain speed.
@ryancoleman303 I'm aware of what v1 is... but piston twins dont have a v1. There is a high likelihood that the airplane wouldnt be able to become airborne if you lost it on the runway. If you tried to continue, you'd end up in a VMC roll at worst, or at best... mushing into whatever is in front of you. Better to overrun with max breaks at the slowest speed you can get than to hit something airborne
You need to announce your checklist as you are checking the controls in the proper sequence and keep your eyes open for air traffic instead of concerntrating on you co pilot frined. You need additonal dual time for check list announcination skills and air traffic.
Make sure to keep in mind that this video was edited and a lot of context has been removed that may include checklists and standard procedures. We have adsb in and we’re also on flight following. Thanks for watching!
Lol… people like you make aviation a hostile environment. You would also be the one to file a formal complaint with the FAA… stfu and enjoy the video. Dont have to be armchair pilot…. Its a video and it has been edited……
